3 from out of town arrested in Bakersfield drug investigation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Kern County officers arrested three men Tuesday morning to conclude a drug investigation that lasted several weeks.

The sheriff's office said Wednesday that 45-year-old Pedro Ochoa-Monzon, of Phoenix, 32-year-old Cecil Hernandez, of Avenal, and 23-year-old Elmar Ochoa-Hernandez, of Los Angeles, were arrested following a traffic stop in the 6900 block of Longford Court, near Panama Lane and Wible Road in south Bakersfield.

Ten pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of more than $363,000, was located in a diaper box in the back seat of one of the vehicles, according to the sheriff's office.

Immigration detainers were placed on Hernandez and Ochoa-Hernandez. All three were booked into Kern County jail.
