3 hurt in drive-by shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Three people were hospitalized Wednesday night after a drive-by shooting, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say shots rang out around 10:15 p.m. in the area of River Boulevard and Irene Street in northeast Bakersfield.

The victims, identified as Nickey Curiel, Michael Gardea and Armando Rodriguez, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of wounds that weren't considered life-threatening, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies say a white passenger vehicle is believed to be connected to the shooting. No arrests have been made.
