AB109 compliance sweep nets 3 arrests
CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A check to make sure early release inmates are staying out of trouble has led to three arrests.
California City police put on the AB109 compliance sweep Friday with help from members of the Delano, Arvin, Bear Valley Springs and Tehachapi police departments -- along with officers from probation and parole.
During the 6 hour operation, the special investigative team searched 30 homes, made 3 arrests and impounded 1 vehicle.
The people arrested were identified as 20-year-old Robert Tharp, 20-year-old Jeremy Curran and 45-year-old Agnus Ford -- all of California City.
Investigators said Tharp was high on drugs and found in possession of drugs for sale and firearms. Curran was reportedly under the influence of drugs. And Ford was wanted on a no-bail warrant.
