      CHP: Distracted teen hit, killed by car

      BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) A teenager might have been distracted by wearing headphones when she was hit and killed by a car Tuesday night on Orange Drive near Niles Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

      The girl walked into the street and was struck by a Honda, the CHP said.

      Wednesday morning, the Kern County coroner's office identified the girl as 15-year-old Caterin Orellana.
