      Disturbance at jail cancels visitation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) A disturbance late Saturday at Lerdo Jail led to the cancellation of visitation for inmates for the remainder of the weekend.

Patrol deputies from Bakersfield were called in to help when a fight broke around just after 11 p.m. at the men's minimum-security facility on Industrial Farm Road. A sheriff's spokesman said deputies were able to separate the involved inmates without any additional help.

Several inmates were injured, but none required hospitalization, according to a department news release.
