DUI arrest follows crash at Stockdale and Allen

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- A three-car crash at the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Allen Road caused slow going Wednesday afternoon and sent two people to hospitals - one of whom will be going to jail, according to police.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m.

One person was found to be driving under the influence, said Bakersfield police Lt. Don Krueger. That driver was taken to a hospital, and then he'll be going to jail.

A person in another vehicle was also transported with minor injuries, and the third party was not injured.

The intersection was shut down for more than an hour.

While one driver is suspected of driving drunk, the collision is still under investigation.
