Guardrails being installed for Westside Parkway off-ramp
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Officials are installing guardrails this week at a Westside Parkway off-ramp that has played host to multiple traffic crashes since its opening just two months ago.
Work started Tuesday on railing along the ramp from eastbound Westside Parkway to Truxtun Avenue.
Work should be finished by Friday, according to the Thomas Roads Improvement Program.
The outside lane on the ramp will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to stay alert for construction equipment and workers.
