KCSO: Investigating shooting on Kentucky Street
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - The sheriff's office is investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man at a home in the 2900 block of Kentucky Street on Saturday morning.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m.
The victim managed to run to about a block away to the 2900 block of Lake Street where he was found by deputies suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
A second assault victim was found at the residence on Kentucky St. Deputies said that man was hit with something, likely a brick.
Both victims were transported to Kern Medical Center for their injuries. The victim of the assault sustained no life threatening injuries while the victim of the gunshot underwent surgery and remains in critical condition.
Deputies are looking for Joel Rodriguez (Hispanic male in his 20's) who witnesses identified as the suspected shooter. Rodriguez was accompanied by 27 year old Ephran Ugues and 31 year old Jeremy Ugues at the time of the shooting. All three suspects fled the area in a black 2001 Ford Explorer with license plate 6FAZ764.
