Minor explosion disrupts class at Bakersfield High School

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Around 90 Bakersfield High School students had class interrupted for about a half hour Wednesday for an investigation into a minor explosion on campus.

A welding classroom and two adjoining classrooms were evacuated as city and Kern High School District police completed their work.

The city police department said no one was hurt and no property was damaged. Several students were interviewed about the explosion.

Police didn't describe what blew up or how the explosion occurred.
