Police: Stolen car crashed into Bakersfield house

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) A reportedly stolen car crashed into a central Bakersfield home Friday.

Parole and police officers were following two people in the car, police Sgt. Damon Youngblood said. The officers "terminated" the chase when speeds got too great, but the driver of the car crashed a short time later into a house at 21st and Beech streets.

Both people in the car were arrested. Police withheld their names.

Youngblood said he was unsure of any injuries.

"It appears the residence sustained some significant damage to the front," the police sergeant said.
