Sheriff's unit announces arrests for stolen farm equipment

{A href=""}BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) The Rural Crime Investigation Unit of the Kern County Sheriff's Office announced a pair of recent arrests.

The unit said Tuesday that Manuel Mendez Pantoja, of Arvin, was arrested on suspicion of stealing large water valves and large irrigation pipes last week from a farming operation in the area of Rancho Road and Valpredo Road.

In a separate news release, the unit said Michelle Terese Blaylock was arrested during a traffic stop last week in the Delano area. She was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen farm equipment, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
