Tehachapi man arrested on DUI suspicion after crash

TEHACHAPI, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A Tehachapi man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon.

Daniel Bohl's Pontiac Grand Prix veered left and into the opposing lanes of State Route 202 in the area of Reeves Street, the California Highway Patrol said. His car crashed with a westbound Toyota Tundra.

The roadway was temporarily closed, and the Toyota's driver and passenger, Victor and Dorothy Austin, were taken to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield for treatment of moderate injuries, the CHP said.

Bohl was also taken to KMC with moderate injuries and subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI, the CHP said.
