Kern Dance Alliance has partnered with the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County to get memory-impaired patients moving to music.

It's part of a 7-week program that uses dance and movement therapy as a way of creative expression and empowerment to improve cognitive function and quality of life for Alzheimer's patients, according to Kern Dance Alliance President Andrea Hansen.

Participants must be enrolled in the ADAKC Day Program. For more information, call (661) 665-8871.
