Valley fever lunch, lecture coming up April 19
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
There were nearly 2,000 cases of valley fever reported in Kern County last year, according to public health officials.
San Joaquin Community Hospital is hosting a free lunch and lecture -- The Silent Epidemic, Valley Fever Prevention and Detection -- on Wednesday, April 19.
Dr. Bahareh Gharfarizadeh from the Adventist Health Physicians Network will be hosting the lecture. She stopped by Eyewitness News to discuss what will be covered.
