Christmas lights stolen off Bakersfield man's lawn

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Michael Pina usually spends time putting up Christmas lights. Now, he's picking them up.

Pina woke up early Friday morning to walk his dog. He soon realized most of his Christmas decorations had been stolen.

"I noticed the candy canes were gone, extension cords were gone," said Pina. "The whole tree was decorated, gone."

He said he decorates the yard for his young nephews.

"It's aggravating, and it pisses me off," he said.

He can't understand why someone would do this.

"Did you really need it that bad?" Pina asked. "Do you have kids? Are you that desperate?"

He's filed a police report, and hopes his security system can identify who did this.

He also said he plans on putting new lights up.
