The Robert A. Grimm Children’s Pavilion for Emergency Services at Memorial Hospital will open its doors at 7 a.m. Thursday.

This is the latest addition to pediatric services at Memorial Hospital. The 5,000-square-foot emergency room will offer care for children through age 13 and will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hospital officials say it's the only dedicated pediatric emergency department between Los Angeles and Madera.

The Robert A. Grimm Children’s Pavilion for Emergency Services is located adjacent to the hospital’s existing emergency room and features separate waiting and treatment areas.
