Three desert bighorn lambs were introduced Thursday at the California Living Museum.

The lambs, all rams, were born to three ewes in April and May.

One of the three lambs was rejected by his mother but is doing well after being hand-raised and bottled-fed by CALM animal keepers.

The lambs might not stay at CALM, which is part of a cooperative breeding program. They could be placed in another zoo to ensure a strong genetic line.

There are only 71 desert bighorn sheep in seven zoos throughout the United States, according to CALM.
