CALM Holiday Lights begin Friday

The annual Holiday Lights display begins Friday night at the California Living Museum.

CALM lights continue nightly 5:30-9 p.m. through Jan. 6. Gates close at 8:30.

CALM is closed on Christmas.

The attraction annually draws more than 50,000 guests to view more than 3 million lights.

Adult tickets are $12, and there are discounts for senior citizens, kids, CALM members, and military members or veterans.

More than $150,000 is raised annually from Holiday Lights to benefit the zoo, according to an official with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. CALM is operated by the KCSOS.
