CHP shares photos of happy dog after freeway rescue
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
The Bakersfield office of the California Highway Patrol saved a young German shepherd Monday from Highway 99.
The CHP posted photos of the grateful pooch on Facebook. He's seen giving licks to an officer and enjoying some water from a fountain.
The CHP says the dog was walking in lanes on the freeway near Hosking Avenue.
The dog doesn't have a collar and was taken to the Kern County Animal Services.
