Congressman McCarthy weighs in on immigration fight between feds, California

Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the Republican majority leader from Bakersfield, spoke to Eyewitness News on Wednesday via satellite about the growing fight over immigration between the U.S. Justice Department and the state of California.

The Justice Department, in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Sacramento, is challenging three California laws that bar police from asking people about their citizenship status or participating in federal immigration enforcement activities.
