Goh's lead grows over Carter in Bakersfield mayoral race

Karen Goh's lead in the Bakersfield mayoral race continues to grow as more votes are counted.

In an update Monday night, Goh leads Kyle Carter by more than 5,000 votes and has garnered more than 52 percent of the 101,533 votes counted.

Carter holds more than 47 percent of the vote.

Goh is expected to replace longtime mayor Harvey Hall, who served Bakersfield for 16 years.
