Lake Isabella brush fire stopped at 31 acres

Forward progression of a brush fire Friday morning in the southern part of Lake Isabella was stopped at 31 acres, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

The Fire Department hasn't commented on the cause for the so-called "Hub Fire."

Firefighters protected one structure under immediate threat and nine homes in the fire's path.

There were no injuries, and no one had to evacuate.
