Kern County jury convicts man of Union Avenue shooting
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
A Kern County jury on Thursday convicted a man of attempted murder.
The District Attorney's Office said Robert Thrower shot another man last August at a hotel on Union Avenue.
Thrower and two other men went into the hotel room and tried to take the victim's money, according to the District Attorney's Office. The victim tried to leave, and Thrower shot him twice with a revolver.
Thrower is slated to be sentenced in June and faces a maximum sentence of 38 years to life in prison.
