Kern County to host health summit

The Kern County Department of Public Health Services will host a Healthy Kern Summit next week.

The event will go from 8 a.m to 3:30 p.m at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bakersfield, according to the county.

Community members are invited to exchange ideas on how to help keep Kern County healthy.

People will also be able to learn about strategies on how to gain access to affordable, clean and safe drinking water.

“The community will have an opportunity to learn from each other and to not only take back ideas to their workplace, organizations and families, but to work together in order to improve the health of our county,” Public Health Director Matthew Constantine said in a press release.

Attendance for the summit is free. Below is the agenda for the summit.
