The day started with a free breakfast at the American Legion Hall downtown.
After that, it was on to the 94th annual Veteran's Day Parade.
Parade goers of all ages, such as Joshua Marderosian, enjoyed the chance to honor the sacrifices made for our country.
"Even if you don't know them, even if they're a total stranger, you always praise them because they served for their country and they fought," said Marderosian.
Army veteran Lefty Rodriguez said it's one of the greatest things to see Bakersfield support the troops.
After the parade, the next event was a Camp Hamilton.
Barbecue was served by the Kern County Detention Officer's Association.
Also, Hooters and Juicy Burger, among other restaurants, offered free meals to veterans with a military ID.
