Kern DA announces conviction of man who attacked woman in 'fit of jealousy'
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
A man was convicted Friday for attacking the mother of his child, the Kern County District Attorney's Office said.
Alberto Sosa Cisneros was found guilty of charges that include criminal threats and assault with force likely to commit great bodily injury.
In June, he drove from Santa Maria to Taft in what the District Attorney's Office described as a "fit of jealousy" to confront the woman. He tried to smother and strangle her and told her he was going to get rid of her, the prosecutor's office said.
Sentencing is scheduled for November.
