McFarland police: Gangsters target college students

{A href=""}McFARLAND, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - McFarland police announced the arrests of three Myfas gang members Tuesday in the weekend beating of a pair of college students.

The victims were beaten overnight Sunday during a party for a person leaving for the military. Investigators said the gang members forced their way into the party in the 200 block of 7th Street and attacked multiple partygoers when the homeowner asked them to leave.

When police arrived, they found two male victims with major injuries. One victim has since been released from the hospital. The other victim will likely require reconstructive surgery for a broken jaw and several missing teeth.

Three of the alleged gang members are jailed. Three others are wanted for questioning.

Miguel Zepeda, Martin Zepeda Jr. and Sergio Covarrubias are facing numerous charges, including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

The reputed gang members wanted for questioning are 22-year-old Alex Garcia, 18-year-old Victor Garcia and 28-year-old Ricardo Duarte.

All should be considered armed and dangerous.
