Missing soldier's remains laid to rest

{A href=""}BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) Roosevelt "Jack" Clark was missing in action for decades before his remains were identified.

On Wednesday, those remains were brought back to Bakersfield.

Friday was a day of tributes.

First a funeral at People's Baptist Church, then Clark's remains were laid to rest, 62 years after he went missing.

Clark was buried with full military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Park in east Bakersfield.

His first cousin Rennie Hunter said she was happy he's finally at rest.

"I just feel thankful he was found and I pray that all the other families that have someone missing in action will be identified," Hunter said.

Clark dropped out of high school to serve in the Korean War.

He went missing in 1950.
