A week after the school shooting in Florida, guns, schools and active shooters are on the minds and tongues of many Americans.

As the discussion and debate as to what the country does to move forward continues, others are taking matters into their own hands to keep students safe.

The California State University system shared a video on YouTube to help their students learn what to do if an active shooter were to come onto their campus.

In the video, the mantra "run, hide, fight" is taught as the three options for surviving an active shooter situation.
