Mourning families march for victims' rights
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
For the 6th straight year victims of crimes and their family members marched through Bakersfield to raise awareness for victims' rights and victim advocacy.
Many in attendance held signs with images of their loved ones who had been killed. Of those people many are still awaiting the day their loved one's killer is served justice.
The march went from the Liberty Bell downtown to Mill Creek Park.
Once at the park there were guest speakers, then a flock of doves were released, followed by many families staying for dinner to meet and comfort each other.
