Person critical after being pulled from under LA train
LOS ANGELES (AP) —
Authorities say a person suffered critical injuries and had to be extricated from under a light rail train in Los Angeles.
Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says rescue crews removed the unidentified person from beneath a Gold Line train in Boyle Heights late Saturday.
The injured person, who was not identified, was hospitalized in critical condition.
Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo says the incident is under investigation. It's not yet clear whether the person fell or jumped onto the tracks.
Ubaldo says one of two Gold Line tracks was temporarily shut down, causing travel delays.
