Popping up like weeds: Cal City police raid more pot-grow houses

UPDATE: Police in California City announced a third raid Monday at an illegal marijuana-growing operation inside a home.

This one is located on the 9800 block of Karen Avenue, and police said the home sustained major damage from the modifications made to grow the pot.

Police also said there have been 19 arrests from similar raids over the last two months.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- Police in California City say they're raiding another illegal marijuana-growing operation inside a home.

This search is taking place Monday on the 7400 block of California City Boulevard. Police didn't release any additional information.

This is the latest in a number of recent pot-grow raids in California City. Police there have reported more than a dozen raids, at least 18 arrests and the seizure of tons of marijuana.
