Raid leads to child sex abuse charges

BAKERSFIELD Calif. - Homeland Security officials carried out a raid on a home on Moxee Court in northwest Bakersfield on Tuesday.

Agents hit the home around 7 a.m. as part of a child pornography investigation. They removed several computers, storing them in a vehicle.

"Shocked, I didn't understand, It's just real quiet peaceful neighborhood kids out playing" said neighbor Stephanie Strickland.

Bakersfield police initially escorted 29-year-old Kory Ashton Orren from the property.

He was later arrested on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a minor, lewd acts with a child under 14 and sexual penetration by force.

Orren was booked into the Kern County Jail.

He is expected to be arraigned on friday in county court.
