Phone lines are down, so the organization has put together it's family tracing service. It's a new program called Restoring Family Links.

Amy Mayer of the Kern County Chapter said Tuesday that the program is thorough, designed to help reunite families separated by a major disaster.

If you know someone in the Philippines you are looking for and can't reach, contact the Kern County Chapter of the American Red Cross at (661) 324-6427.

Mayer said they will put you in touch with case workers to help track family members.

"So far, we have connected probably a couple family members in our region," said Mayer, "so it's still progressing and still building."
