Gilda Cook won $2 million from the Set For Life scratchers game, the state lottery said Tuesday.
Cook is set to receive $100,000 each year for 20 years. She said she plans on paying bills, buying a new home and taking care of her family, according to the lottery.
"I'm still going to work," Cook said in a lottery news release. "I'm in my Levi's, tennis shoes and a T-shirt. No big deal. Not gonna change me."
Cook bought the winning ticket at 1-Stop Market, 1501 N. China Lake Boulevard in Ridgecrest. The store will receive a bonus check of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
