Shooting victim found outside Bakersfield Police Department

A man suffering from a gunshot wound was found outside of the Bakersfield Police Department headquarters on Saturday night.

Police said the man drove himself to the station after he was shot in the area of Union Avenue and Brundage Lane.

The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police have no suspect information at this time, and motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
