Solar eclipse draws local crowds and viewers send us their pictures

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Sunday's solar eclipse stole the hearts of many in Bakersfield people who were out and about watching the show. Families met up at Riverwalk Park this evening to view the celestial event. Many had the proper eye-gear on hand and waited patiently as the moon covered the sun. A solar eclipse hasn't happened in 18 years. The next one won't happen until 2017, but it won't be visible in California.
