Two women from Bakersfield have been identified by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a Tule River drowning.

The women were near Coffee Camp on April 13 when one of them slipped into the water, and the other woman went into the river in an attempt to rescue her, the Sheriff's Office said.

Several people with the women stayed on the shore and called for help.

The body of 21-year-old Shreya Singh was found that day. The Sheriff's Office said 21-year-old Alondra Orozco hasn't been found.
