War vet gives rescued dog 'most perfect home'

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Evan Morgan, an Iraq War veteran who lost his legs in combat, experienced what he calls a "moment of serendipity" in meeting his new furry family member Tango.

The dog, rescued by Marley's Mutts, is also missing a leg. Tango was a street dog in South Korea and lost his leg after getting hit by a train or car, according to Zach Skow of Marley's Mutts.

"Being as I'm an amputee, as well, we thought ... maybe we could teach each other a few things," Morgan said.

Skow said Morgan has given Tango the "most perfect home."
