Work to improve traffic flow at Truxtun and Westwind Drive should begin in January
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
The city manager's office says it anticipates construction to improve Truxtun Avenue at Westwind Drive will begin in January.
They'll advertise for bids in a few weeks and expect to award a bid in November.
A lane will be added in each direction on Truxtun from just west of the Highway 99 overcrossing to east of Elm Street, according to the city manager's office.
The curve on Truxtun approaching Westwind Drive will be modified, and westbound traffic will get a turn lane for Westwind.
