Young man dies in suspected DUI crash; driver arrested

{A href=""}BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) A 20-year-old man was killed early Friday in what authorities think was an alcohol-induced crash.

Clayton Blake Goldman, of Bakersfield, was a passenger in a car that left Sidding Road, just west of Highway 43, and slammed into two trees.

The driver, 23-year-old Tessa Jennings, suffered minor injuries.

Officers on scene said the driver was suspected of having alcohol in her system, though a later California Highway Patrol news release doesn't reference alcohol.

Jennings was arrested and booked into Kern County jail on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and two counts of DUI.

The CHP said Jennings overcorrected after letting her Honda to drift off the road around 12:35 a.m., spinning the car out of control.
