Young man surrenders in shooting death of teen in Rosamond
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
A young man has turned himself in to the Kern County Sheriff's Office for allegedly accidentally shooting to death a 14-year-old boy last September.
Deon Davison surrendered Tuesday to the Sheriff's Office station in Mojave. He was wanted on a warrant for involuntary manslaughter.
The Sheriff's Office initially believed Al McCraig accidentally shot himself in Rosamond. Further investigation determined that would have been physically impossible, and Davison was named a suspect.
The Sheriff's Office previously referred to Davison by the last name "Davidson."
