Video: Florida pawn shop shootout
WEST PARK, Fla. (CBS12) -- Investigators are looking for two men who opened fire in a Florida pawn shop during a robbery Thursday, catching customers in the crossfire.
The robbery happened just before 5:30 p.m. on May 22 at the Cash Inn Pawn Shop in West Park, Florida.
Two men stormed the business. One man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victims as a second man rushed toward the counter with a bag.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said an employee opened fire on the robbers.
Once the gunfire ended, the two robbers tried to run out the front door, which was locked. They tried to smash through the glass but failed; the two rushed to the counter to go out the back.
As one man hopped the counter, he got stuck between the metal bars and counter. He eventually squeezed through along with his partner. The two bolted out the back door and took off. One of the robbers drove a black, older model Lincoln MKZ.
