House Speaker Paul Ryan and Rep. David Valado toured the MEC Aerial Work Platforms facility in Fresno County Wednesday.

While touring the two discussed what they say are the positive impacts of last year's tax overhaul on businesses.

The two took opportunities to speak about the impact tax reform will have on small businesses and families throughout the Central Valley.

“I appreciate Speaker Ryan traveling to my District to see how tax reform is already helping my constituents in California’s Central Valley,” said congressman Valadao in a news release.

The facility's president also referenced the impact of the tax overhaul, stating that it helped many of the employees receive a bonus last year.

“In just a short time, David Valadao has proven himself to be a tireless advocate for the Central Valley and one of the hardest working members of Congress. Thanks to him, workers are seeing bigger paychecks and the average family in his district will save nearly $1,700 because of the tax reform legislation that we passed last year,' said Ryan in a news release.
