BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A group of health care groups opened a new mass vaccination site at California State University, Bakersfield.
The site was initiated by Kaiser Permanente, which includes Adventist Health, and Dignity Health Hospitals working together to help vaccinate the community.
Kaiser Permanente will oversee operations for this site. Kaiser Permanente, Adventist Health, Dignity Health Hospitals and Hall Ambulance will also be providing vaccination and EMS staff to ensure that over the thirteen-week period, 400,000 members of Kern County are vaccinated.
The CSUB site will begin providing vaccinations on March 26.
Appointments at the mass vaccination hubs can be scheduled at California’s My Turn vaccine scheduling website, myturn.ca.gov.
