Bakersfield man recalls friendship with Stan Lee
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Steve Wyatt runs Bakersfield's Comic-Con, and he joined Eyewitness News on Tuesday to share his memories of comics pioneer Stan Lee, who died Monday at 95.
Wyatt grew up reading Lee's comics, from “The Fantastic Four” to “The Avengers.”
In the late ‘70s, Wyatt met Lee for the first time, and over time they created a friendship.
Wyatt has operated several comic book conventions and has had Lee join him several times.
Wyatt shared those memories and reflected on Lee’s legacy.
Bakersfield Comic-Con arrives Nov. 17 and 18 at the Kern County Fairgrounds.
