Stampede Days Rodeo returns to Kern County Fairgrounds

The 33rd annual Stampede Days Rodeo will be taking over the Kern County Fairgrounds this weekend.

The Kern County Sheriff's Reserves will host two nights of exciting rodeo events including professional "bull fighting."

The events on Friday and Saturday start at 7 p.m., and the gates open at 5 p.m.

Friday is the "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night. Organizers said a contribution will be made to Relay for Life for all fans wearing pink.

On Sunday, Tomas Garcilanzo will be showing off his rope tricks for the authentic western Charro Rodeo. Sunday's rodeo will begin at 2 p.m., and the gates open at noon.
