Ann Walker, the immunization coordinator for the Kern County Public Health Services Department, stopped by Eyewitness News on Monday to urge parents to get their children vaccinated.

“It’s about prevention,” Walker said.

Meanwhile, Adventist Health Bakersfield is offering free childhood immunizations against preventable diseases in February. One such clinic is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Walgreens at 4306 Ming Ave.
