1 dead, 1 seriously injured in crash on I-5
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) —
A man suffered serious injuries in a car crash that killed the driver of his vehicle on the 5 freeway in the Fort Tejon area Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver died when the 2017 Toyota 4Runner drifted off of the left lane, at Sabodan Street, and collided into a guardrail.
Marshall Buenfil, 21, the male passenger from San Diego, was taken to Kern Medical for his injuries.
Investigators say in their early investigation, and weather is not suspected to be a factor.
