2 dead, 3 others injured following a shooting in Tulare County

Two people are dead and three people are injured after a shooting at the Shell Gas Station in Ducor Thursday afternoon.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, at around 3:45 p.m., deputies were called to the gas station for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, deputies found a man who has been shot. They said deputies found out another man was shot, but was taken to a nearby hospital.

They said during the investigation, deputies found out three more victims arrived at the Delano hospital.

According to Bryan Clower, Sergeant with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit,investigation found that two separate vehicles were involved in a gun fight and exchanged gun fire between one another.

Authorities have not released any information about a suspect or a motive.

In total, five people were shot, leaving two dead, three injured. According to the department, as of 9 p.m., two of the victims are getting treated for their injuries, while one person was released. The person released is in the process of getting booked into jail.

"One has been released," Sgt. Cowler, said. "That individual is currently is the process of being booked. Two additional individuals are still being treated for their injuries."

Sgt. Colwer says that everyone that was involved in the shooting has culpability in the crime. He says it's too early to say how the shooting started. No word on much longer the sheriff's office will stay here investigating.
